At the end of 2025 we have engaged the Ohio Farm Bureau in getting their support for bottleneck cartridges.  They were receptive to the idea and even talked about some of the old rifles they had in the back of the gun safe would be legal if this passed.

At this point we are continuing to engage the ODNR and other stakeholders to make this change for the 2026-2027 deer season.  

Take a minute and send a comment to the ODNR about allowing bottleneck cartridges.  Also ask your friends to do the same.  This won't change bag limits for deer but it will allow hunters the ability to choose what rifle they use.
