Why are team sports important?

We’ve told all our kids the same thing. Every season you pick a sport. I don’t care if you’re a top individual performer. I care that you work hard and are a good teammate. This leads to the overall success of the team and teaches you how to work with others regardless of your individual success. Kids who learn this can handle adversity. Our son is still on the sideline while awaiting news of his MIAA waiver request but he’s still working out, practicing and supporting his teammates and will continue to do so regardless of the outcome.
