The night mum went into hospital with Covid I had started watching Ricky Gervais Afterlife series 2 , I finished the season in one night and cried the whole way through.

I’ve just stumbled across this clip and once again it resonates so much today ��

We don’t know when will be my mum’s last day but what we do know is that right now what could be her last days are heavily restricted because she happens to have Dementia and resides in a Care Home �

Her last meal could be alone without family as visits are restricted.

Her last smell of a flower will only be from one bouquet as that is all that is allowed , one bouquet at a time...

Her husband is not even able to kiss her on the cheek so she has no idea when she’ll be allowed that basic human right between a married couple.

Mum’s life is heavily dictated right now at a time when we should be enabled to do everything she loves with a passion, you know?

Now there isn’t much she can do because of the dementia, i’m realistic, but i bet if she could speak for herself she would damn well want her husband by her side each day as she just doesn’t know when will be her last day ��

Annes Law should enable this very basic human right. She has had both vaccines but still nowhere to what was her normality, what more heartache can she and us her family be put through?

Mum’s spent 15months being locked up away from her family simply existing and not living! Just inagibe this was you or a loved one.
