Over 100 signatures in two days.

Dad had his first garden visit with mum today, the first family member mum has seen without a barrier in almost 18 weeks.

How did it go?

A member staff watched over as a husband and wife were reunited after 18 weeks - no privacy

A parasol was only protection from the elements for protection for someone who hasn’t been outside in almost 18 weeks - and the british summer weather was true to form today, cold.

Half an hour is all they could spend together.

So yeah this is why we are asking for one family member to be allowed per resident to be allowed to visit in care homes the same was as staff can come and go.

We need to adapt social distance visits to meet the needs of our loved ones in care homes - this isn’t a one size fits all.

Let’s keep sharing untill we get someone’s attention - share with your MP, MSP, newspaper whoever will listen.

Care homes are only following guidance they can’t be blamed , we need those making the guidance to listen.

Don’t forget to use the hashtag
#BeforeTheyForgetWhoWeAre when sharing.
