Allow a character swap between Belle and Wise in Zenless Zone Zero
The Issue
My name is Tanzeel, a dedicated Zenless Zone Zero Proxy based in London (SW19). Like many of you, I have invested hundreds of hours, significant effort, and financial support into my PlayStation 5 account.
For the past week, I have been in a "battle of the inbox" with HoYoverse Customer Service. Despite my loyalty and my status as a high-value PS5 player, I have been officially ghosted. For over 48 hours, my urgent requests (Ticket [GGVG4N-RVX13]) have been met with total silence. It appears that once a player encounters a technical "choice" issue, HoYoverse would rather ignore us than provide a human solution.
The Problem:
In Zenless Zone Zero, the choice between Belle and Wise is presented as a simple aesthetic preference. However, as we progress into the deeper story of Season 2 and interact with new characters like Ye Shunguang, the choice becomes much more.
Unlike PC or mobile players, we on PlayStation cannot simply "re-roll" or make a new account without abandoning our entire PSN ecosystem, our trophies, and our paid transactions. We are effectively are trapped in a protagonist we no longer want to play.
The "Technical Solution. HoYoverse often claims that a character swap is "technically impossible" due to story flags. We know this is false. As a solution, I am formally proposing the "Chapter Reset Protocol":
Voluntary Story Replay: To avoid narrative glitches, we are willing to completely restart our current story chapter (e.g., restarting Chapter 2 from the beginning) to ensure all dialogue and cutscenes align with the new protagonist choice.
Data Preservation: All Agents (S-Ranks like Ellen Joe), Inter-Knot levels, and Gear must remain untouched.
The "WuWa" Standard
In January 2026, there is no excuse for this restriction. Other major titles like Wuthering Waves have already listened to their fans and implemented gender-swapping for their protagonists. If a smaller studio can respect player choice, why is a global giant like HoYoverse ignoring us and ghosting our support tickets?

We demand that HoYoverse addresses the "Protagonist Swap" issue during the January 23rd Version 2.6 Livestream.
