Friends, In a recent interview, Canada's Immigration Minister, Chris Alexander, spoke of his children: Selma (5) and Elizabeth (3). Clearly, as a parent, Chris Alexander must know how difficult it is to be separated from them. We hope he can imagine how difficult is has been for another Ottawa couple, Bhavna Bajaj and Aman Sood, who have been separated from their 3.5-year-old son Daksh Sood for over two years because Mr. Alexander and his preecessor have refused to exercise their humanitarian discretion and allow Daksh to join his parents in Ottawa. We plan to present this petition, along with all of your wonderful comments, to Mr. Alexander once we reach 10,000 signatures.
