Allocate funds for Sainik School Korokunda
The Issue
My son, Abhigyan Kumar, School No. 6616, was recently admitted to Sainik School Korokunda. We chose this institution over others with better infrastructure, like Bijapura and Satara, because of its esteemed legacy and the values it instills in its students. Sainik School Korokunda, the oldest Sainik School in Andhra Pradesh and one of the oldest in India, has been instrumental in shaping future leaders of this nation. Its notable alumni, such as Shri Subba Rao, former RBI Governor, and Colonel Santosh Babu, a MVC awardee, are a testament to the exemplary education and training provided by this school.
However, despite its rich history and significant contributions to the nation, the school's infrastructure is deteriorating. The main building, constructed in 1960, is on the verge of collapse. This poses a severe risk to the safety of the cadets who walk its halls every day. The future leaders of our state, our cadets, deserve a safe and supportive learning environment.
The current state of the school is disheartening to parents and students alike. The potential hazards posed by the aging infrastructure could dissuade new admissions and diminish the school's longstanding reputation. It is crucial to maintain the school's legacy and ensure that it remains a beacon of excellence in military education.
We humbly request the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to allocate necessary funds to renovate and revitalize Sainik School Korokunda. Such funding will not only repair and modernize the facilities but will also uphold the honor and heritage of this prestigious institution. An investment in this school is an investment in the future of our state and our nation.
Please join us in urging the state government to support Sainik School Korokunda. Your signature can make a difference and ensure a brighter future for the cadets of tomorrow.
