USICH is only currently receiving $4.7m per year to help with the homelessness crisis, which will be increasing unfortunately due to inflation and lack of enough wage increases.

If 1% is given from the 19 federal affiliates, it would be equivalent to $60 billion per year that could solely go towards living facilities that provide therapeutic services (for an affordable rate).

We are using budgets that are meant to help towards homelessness but creating new apartments and condos that are $2000+ per month.

This is a misuse of the money and I will be protesting in Chicago soon.
