Recently, City Council members CeCe Gerlach and Josh Siegel were recommended for Censure and Vote of No Confidence based on recent conduct unbecoming of public officials while participating in a protest outside their council chambers during/after a city council meeting by blocking/disrupting traffic/endangering others, giving out the mayor's personal cell phone number for the purpose of harassment, and undermining and demoralizing the Allentown Police Department in their own community by chanting "F**k the police" during said protest.

Unfortunately, the motion for censure was withdrawn due to lack of support among council members. 

We as a community feel their behavior is unacceptable, has violated the public trust, and needs addressing. Their flagrant derision for the police department that serves our community has created conflict between citizens, and has resulted in escalating hostility towards our police department from community members. APD endured verbal abuse the night of the council meeting as a result of Mr. Stiegel's and Ms. Gerlach's behavior, and the Allentown Police Department has been undermined in our community by the actions of these council members. They have continually demoralized our police with their behaviors, actions, and with Ms. Gerlach's  proposed resolution to reform and defund APD, and are directly responsible for causing division and chaos in our community. Theforefore, we ask that they resign from their positions effective immediately.
