Notice of Intent To Demolish!! Your Urgent Action Is Needed!

The Town received notice of intent to demolish Dr Campbell’s house today.  You’ll recall that earlier this week, the Heritage Advisory Committee deemed that this house should remain on the Heritage Registry and council voted unanimously in favour of this.

You can assist us now by writing to the Mayor, councillors and the planner to express three key points:

1.  The Town must turn down this permit to demolish on the grounds they have agreed that the house is historically significant, enough so that it shall remain on the registry.

2.  The Town should take active steps to give this house historical designation.

3.  The Town should say NO to rezoning this single family residential property under any conditions.

In addition to sending these letters, we need you, more than ever, to attend the meeting on March 17th at the Grovedale to stop rezoning of this property.
