Upcoming Meetings

Hi everyone,

I wanted to provide clarification around upcoming meetings that need your attention and your attendance if you can:

1. Tonight at 7pm council chambers

This evening, the owner is seeking to remove Dr Campbell’s house from the heritage list.  We will likely see which councillors support heritage in our town.  We will learn the difference between the registry list of interest and actually being designated.  Removal from the list of interest (the registry) means that council gives up its right to consult with the heritage advisory committee should the owner seek demolition.

2. March 17 at The Grovedale

The developer will be presenting a new plan for rezoning the land from its current single family dwelling to allow a multi unit, multi storey building.

Both meetings need your attendance to ensure council is aware that this issue is of the utmost importance to us and that we want a say in the development of our town. We will no longer abrogate our responsibility in this matter.
