We are proud to announce a historic victory in our campaign to protect the public from the dangers of unregulated high-risk cosmetic procedures. After nearly two years of relentless campaigning, the government has confirmed its commitment to introducing restrictions on procedures like liquid BBLs, with the goal of safeguarding lives and preventing further tragedies.

Ashton Collins, Save Face Director, states:
“I am elated that the government has recognised the significant and potentially fatal risks associated with procedures like liquid BBLs and has made it a priority to implement restrictions to avert further tragedies.”

Our petition, which has gathered nearly 25,000 signatures, highlights the strong public demand for urgent action. Throughout this campaign, I have had the privilege of supporting over 750 women who have suffered harrowing and often irreversible outcomes. I have seen firsthand the devastating impact these procedures can have on victims and their families—particularly the family of Alice Webb.

Over the past year, I have spent time with Alice’s family and witnessed the profound devastation her loss has caused. Their unwavering support for this campaign has inspired us to fight even harder. We sincerely hope that the upcoming legislation will be named in her memory—Alice’s Law—as a lasting tribute to her life and a safeguard for others.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Alice’s family and all the victims who have bravely shared their stories. Their courage has helped illuminate the true, devastating impact of these unsafe procedures—without which, this vital change would not have been possible.

Alice’s sister, April Webb, shared:
“For us as a family, the past year has been a living nightmare that we know will never end. We are relieved that the government is finally taking action to ban these unregulated BBL procedures. Thanks to Ashton from Save Face for her tireless efforts, a new law will restrict BBLs to healthcare professionals. We hope this new law will prevent other families from experiencing the trauma and heartbreak we’ve endured since Alice’s tragic death last September. This would give us some small comfort—and in years to come, Alice’s children will know that their Mum’s death was not in vain. Other lives will be saved. This is Alice’s legacy... ‘Alice’s Law.’”

Alice’s partner, Dane Knight, added:
“Losing Alice was the most devastating experience of my life. I have seen firsthand how dangerous, unregulated procedures can destroy lives and tear families apart. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the Save Face campaign for Alice’s Law, we are finally witnessing the government take meaningful action to protect others from this tragedy. This victory is a crucial step forward to ensuring no family has to endure the heartbreak we have.”

We are deeply grateful for the support from families, victims, advocacy groups, and all who have stood with us in this fight. Together, we can make a safer future for everyone—saving lives, preventing heartbreak, and honouring Alice Webb’s memory through Alice’s Law.
