Hey Everyone!
Some really good news-- after about 4.5 days of being live, we've managed to tick over the 1.5K mark of signatures on the petition.
A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who've shared, donated and supported us in our goal to keep the Thunder name as part of Algonquin Athletics.
We have heard that the SA is planning a more thorough response to the public due to our organizing so far, and that it should be released before the end of today. Rest assured that everyone looks forward to reviewing and refuting the latest round of justifications for their unilateral actions.
As a final note, I want to comment on how incredible it's been to watch this petition and the #KeepThunder social media campaigns take flight. Seeing the (current and former) Athletes, Students, Staff and Coaches rally around this cause reminds me that Thunder is more than a name-- it's a family.
