The Board of Education executive board voted against Principal Woodard's and Assistant Principal Dr. Byrd returning as administrators for Alexander II for the 25-26 school year. This was against the recommendation of our Superintendent Dr. Sims. Both Mrs. Woodard and Dr. Byrd both have impeccable and spotless GA teaching certificate through GAPSC, with no ethic status violations. This leaves us wondering what the reason was to not continue their contracts for the 2025-2026 school year. We can only speculate, and unfortunately, that leaves us with the conclusion that there may have been a conflict of interest when voting.

Alexander II is a distinguished Title I school, which less than 5% of schools receive. We have continuously increased state assessment scores. We are the highest ranked elementary in Bibb County. We out perform the county and the state on standardized test scores. We are STEM certified, and in the top 80% of elementary schools in GA. Up 15% since 2019.

I have seen the time, effort, and love that they have given our children. 

March 7th 11 am at Bibb BOE (484 Mulberry St) we will be peacefully protesting 

March 20th 630 we will be present at the Board of Education monthly meeting at 2003 Riverside Dr in the Professional Learning Center. To express our support of our Administration.
