Thank you for all of your support phoning, emailing and messaging Aldi to get them to finally require their pork suppliers to stop using gestation crates.
We're eager to share our new web page that calls out Aldi's lack of commitment to ending this inhumane practice. Aldi touts itself as "committed to the well-being of the animals in its supply chain" and that an "animal is in a good state of welfare if it is able to ... express innate behaviors ... and is free from distress". Yet, it allows a practice that immobilizes animals in a space so small they're unable to turn around, stretch their limbs, or take a step for months at a time.
