Good morning and Happy New Year, everyone! This is just a short update regarding the federal page of the proposed open-pit mine developments here in Alberta.

As stated in the last update, after January 15th, you will not be able to post a comment about the proposed open-pit mine developments here in Alberta. This is important because the federal government has the power to prevent these open-pit mines from getting built, despite the fact the provincial government is the one who instigated this madness. As such, if the federal government receives thousands of comments from Albertans and Canadians calling for the retraction of the permits for these projects, they will be more likely to cancel the projects.

Therefore, please leave a comment on the federal page stating you do not want the projects to go ahead. Every single comment counts, and the more comments we have, the higher chance the federal government will cancel these projects. As such, please leave comment using this link (best method): https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/proj/80101?wbdisable=true OR by sending an email to this address iaac.grassymountain.aeic@canada.ca.

If you are leaving a comment on the federal page directly, scroll down until you see the button that says "Submit a Comment" and then follow the instructions provided by the website. It is relatively easy to use and takes only around 5 minutes. As well, please spread the word to anyone who is interested in preserving Alberta's natural areas for decades to come.

Thank you for your continued support! If we keep making our voices heard, we will ensure these mines never get built!

Until next time,

Concerned Citizens of Alberta's Administrator
