Seattle-based Customer Service Agents currently make LESS than minimum wage! SeaTac ordinance allows employees to make less than minimum wage if their collective bargaining agreement (aka union contract) allows. We demand a contract with a clause that prevents base wages from ever being lower than the minimum wage set by local municipalities.

EXAMPLE: “No part of this contract will be considered a waiver for local minimum wage ordinances. If a local minimum wage ordinance exceeds the rate of pay detailed in Article 19, the minimum wage will be the effective rate.”

Alaska is in negotiations with our union for a new contract! Let them know that none of our agents should ever be paid less than minimum.
