The Governor has just one more week to sign bills and we're still hopeful that the two bills that will improve fair representation - AB1248 and 764 (Bryan) - will be among those he signs. Please let him know that fair representation matters to you.

As you may recall, the 2021 Alameda County Redistricting Process highlighted many opportunities for improvement in the process to draw fair and representative maps. Those maps determine how resources are allocated and how your government officials are elected. The research of the ACLUs of Northern and Southern California, League of Women Voters of California, California Common Cause and Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus identified key improvements needed and Assemblymember Bryan authored to bills to bring them to fruition.
Fortunately, the State Assembly and Senate approved the bills and they now await a signature from the Governor. He needs to hear from you that these bills matter. Please sign the petition and ask others to do the same.
