Hello!

Thank you very much for your past involvement with the Alameda County Coalition for Fair Redistricting. With your support, we were able to engage hundreds of people in the county redistricting process. The final map, while not ideal, was an improvement on the 2011 map and public engagement rose five times from what it was in previous processes. 

Now, we turn our attention to the future. Assemblymember Issac Bryan has introduced two statewide bills that, if passed, would expand and strengthen independent redistricting and fair map protections across the state. AB1248 would require independent redistricting commissions in all medium and large counties, including Alameda County. AB764 would improve the FAIR Maps Act, further preventing gerrymandering and facilitating equitable representation.
