Dünyada nadir bulunan ve nesli tükenmekte olduğu bilinen Akdeniz Foklarının hayatı, KKTC/Yeni Erenköy - Eski Liman Bölgesi'nde tamamen kaderine terk edilmiş durumda. 

Yaklaşık 1 haftadır devam eden ülkemizin tarihi değerlerinden olan Eski Liman'ın izin dışı ve yasa dışı yıkımı devam ediyor. Bölgede iş makineleri çalışıyor, ekosistemi katlediyor.

İş makineleri, hem bölgede bulunan Harnup Ambarlarına ulaşımı hem de Balıkçı Teknelerinin faaliyetlerini zora sokuyor.

Yatırımcının yasa dışı faaliyeti doğayı tahrip ediyor, balıkçıların faaliyetlerini engelliyor. Denize yapılan dolgu, mendirek ve bina yasa dışıdır.
