A quick update for you as our campaign smashes through 5000 signatures and reaches the UN! As you may know, we e have received success in the UK and advise all travelers leaving UK airports to print and carry a copy of this document in case security officers are unfamiliar with the correct protocol: http://ufofreight.com/uploads/letterfromaoa_1471157823.pdf We want to replicate this success in ALL countries, so I am now in contact with Airports Council International who has said “The information has been forwarded to ICAO (The UN Agency for Aviation) for their consideration and advice on the best way to raise the issue globally to screening authorities." ACI will present the issue to the ICAO Aviation Security Panel in May 2017, requesting that it is included in global guidance material. Additionally, ACI will continue to raise awareness with its members through its committees and circulars to airports.
