The issue

By signing this petition, you are standing up against the rapid push of AI, the lack of consent, and the distractions that stop people from questioning where this future is heading. Our voices matter, and we deserve to be heard.

AI isn’t the future, it’s the end.

The issue is not simply technology. The issue is who controls it, who benefits from it, and who is forced to live with the consequences. The truth is that many of the world’s richest and most powerful people, often surrounded by controversy and allegations, are pushing AI forward at a speed that ignores the damage being done to our planet, our communities, and our freedom to choose.

The growing amount of wealth and power held by a small number of people and corporations raises serious questions about who gets to decide our future. While many people struggle with rising prices and everyday problems, billions are being invested into powerful technologies. When a few people have so much control over decisions that affect everyone, we deserve transparency, accountability, and a voice. The wealth gap today is extreme, with individual fortunes reaching levels never seen before. When so much power is concentrated at the top, we have to question who gets to shape the future.

History has shown that wealth, status, and influence do not automatically mean someone deserves control over the future. There have been cases where powerful individuals have faced serious allegations and public scrutiny, showing that power without accountability can be dangerous. When a small number of extremely wealthy people and corporations have the ability to shape technology that affects billions of lives, we have the right to question their decisions, their priorities, and whether the public is truly being protected.

AI is no longer just a tool. It is becoming a system that shapes what we see, what we believe, what we create, and how decisions are made about our lives. We deserve knowledge. We deserve honesty. We deserve consent. People should not have to discover years later that their information, creativity, and attention were used to build systems they never agreed to.

AI data centers require enormous amounts of energy, water, and resources, while ordinary people are left to deal with the consequences. These facilities are not just harmless buildings hidden away from the public. They place pressure on our environment through their demand for electricity, their use of water, and the resources required to keep them running. The impact does not disappear just because it happens out of sight.

The damage goes beyond data centers. The planet is already struggling with pollution, climate change, resource shortages, and environmental destruction caused by industries that prioritise profit over responsibility. We have seen companies like Nestlé face years of public criticism, controversy, and allegations involving issues such as water use, environmental impact, and labour practices. These examples show what can happen when powerful corporations make decisions that affect everyone but are controlled by only a few.

We are facing a future where the cost of convenience is being hidden from us. We are told this is progress, but too often we are not shown the full truth. We are surrounded by AI systems, advertisements, algorithms, and automated decisions without our full understanding or consent. Our attention, our information, and our habits are being used to build systems that make a small group of companies even more powerful.

They distract us with promises of a better future while the consequences are pushed aside. They make us feel like our voices do not matter. They want us to believe we are powerless because they have the money, the influence, and the control.

But there is one thing they cannot ignore: us.

We are the consumers. We are the people who support these companies, use their products, and give them their power. Without us, they do not have an empire.

The truth is uncomfortable, but we cannot ignore it.

History has shown that money and power do not always mean someone deserves control over the future. When a small group of powerful people and corporations can influence technology that affects billions, we have a right to question them.

The sudden rise of AI should make us stop and ask why this is happening so quickly. While these systems are being pushed into our lives, we are already seeing serious concerns around deepfakes, fake identities, misinformation, and harmful content created without people’s consent.

The terrifying part is not just what AI can do today. It is what happens when technology this powerful grows faster than our ability to understand and control it.

A fake can be made to look real. A person’s identity can be copied. Truth can become harder to recognise.

And while ordinary people are told to simply accept this future, the people making these decisions gain more influence, more control, and more power.

We should not stay silent.

We should question who is building this future, who benefits from it, and who is left to suffer the consequences.

This is not about rejecting all technology. This is about demanding responsibility. It is about protecting our planet, protecting human creativity, protecting our right to know, and making sure the future is shaped by people, not just profit.

Our voices matter. Our choices matter. We are not powerless.

By signing this petition, we can stand together and demand change. We can challenge the way AI is being pushed forward while so many urgent issues, including poverty, rising costs, environmental destruction, and the future of our planet, continue to be ignored.

Those in power are investing millions into expanding AI systems while real human needs are still being left behind. This is not about denying that technology can have benefits. It is about questioning why decisions that affect the future of our planet, our communities, and our lives are being made by powerful corporations.

When those with influence and control are the ones pushing the future of AI, we have to ask whether their priorities truly represent the people they impact.

Power should come with responsibility, transparency, and accountability, not the ability to make decisions without the voices of everyday people being heard.

We deserve the right to question where AI is heading, who benefits from it, and whether the cost to humanity and the environment is worth it.

Some may believe AI is simply a useful tool, but we cannot ignore the damage it can create when it is controlled by profit, used without true consent, and allowed to grow without responsibility.

We should not be silent. We should be angry at a world where people struggle with rising prices, poverty, environmental destruction, and uncertainty while billions are invested into systems that make the most powerful even more powerful.

We should question why decisions that affect millions are often made by people who already hold enormous wealth and influence. History has shown that power without accountability can lead to exploitation, harm, and decisions that put profit above people.

Anger is not the problem. Silence is.

Our anger comes from caring. It comes from wanting a future where people matter, where the planet is protected, and where no corporation or individual has the ability to decide humanity’s future without us.

They teach you that you’re powerless.

But you are not.
