An Open Message to :The President of the United States of America
Mr.President,
Hope this message finds you aware of what happens in Rojava,
At the onset of this message ,i want to let you know , We the Kurdish people have been, and remain, among the most loyal, honest, and courageous allies of the United States. For more than a decade, we stood shoulder to shoulder with your forces and coalition partners to defeat ISIS and other terrorist organizations. While others hesitated, we fought. While others fled, we stayed. We paid the highest price so the world could be safer.
The armed groups you now consider allies in Syria are temporary partners at best.
Once they are established and empowered, their true nature will be revealed. Many of them are connected to extremist and terrorist networks that have committed mass killings and atrocities against Kurds, Arabs, Christians, Yazidis, and other innocent communities. We have seen this before. We know what comes next.
I ask you to set aside short-term political interests and look at this situation as if you were a Kurdish citizen. Put yourself in our place. Imagine your family living under constant threat. Imagine your children growing up under the shadow of genocide. Would you remain silent?
Rojava is facing an existential danger. If this destruction continues, history will remember who stood up to stop it and who chose to look away. Your credibility, moral leadership, and the trust of oppressed people around the world are at stake.
We have lost thousands of pure souls of brave Peshmerga and dedicated fighters whose only goal was to protect humanity from terror and extremism.
Their blood was not spilled so that the Kurdish people could later be abandoned and treated as disposable tools. We are not weapons to be used and discarded when convenient. We are human beings. We are partners. We are allies.
Do not allow genocide to happen on your watch. Stand on the right side of history. Protect those who protected the world.
Hope this message touches your heart before it leaves your sight.
Regards,
Ahmed Barzinji
