Against the humanitarian crisis in Palestine

Against the humanitarian crisis in Palestine
The Issue
The conflict unfolding in Gaza is not merely a retaliatory action on Israel's part anymore. It is genocide. An entire generation has been wiped out, hospitals are being bombed and humanitarian aid is blocked. If the world sits quietly while the worst of the worst happens to the people of Gaza, then every effort towards peace since the second World War has been in vain.
Yet, shockingly, our own country has done exactly that. We have abstained from voting when a resolution for peace in Palestine was taken up by the UN. While geopolitical diplomacy is important, the ethos of our nation can never support mindless murder at any cost. This is not the voice of our culture, our history and our people.
Therefore, I beseech you to sign this petition to show solidarity with Palestine, even if our government refuses to do so. We are still a people with the freedom of expression and we need to use for those whose rights have been snatched away.
