Hi everyone,
Thank you for your support throughout this period and for helping our case reach MP's office.
Today we received the refusal from the Tribunal giving us 35 days before my parents' current visa ceases.
Please email the immigration minister now.
We are absolutely distraught to have to pack everything up to leave behind our home of nearly 10 years with no fault of our own- it seems that the Australian immigration system is completely robotic and cruel. Watching my parents go through this hurts me, especially when there's only much that I can do.
My parents have done everything they can to fulfill the requirements but things beyond their control have led us to this point where they're being forced to leave. Leaving behind the country I moved to when I was a 12-year-old or living by myself in a country that forced my parents to leave and broke our family apart, feels like a never-ending dead end destroying what we've built keeping me up at night.
We love our community, and our life in the only country we've known and called home for the last decade, and having to start from scratch is something we cannot imagine.
Our only hope is to get the government's attention and allow us to stay back and find a permanent solution. Please share our case, and if you haven't already, send an email to the immigration minister.
Thank you for your support- it's what we are counting on.
