However, the rising cost of transportation has become a burden for students to cut back on other necessity such as food, school supplies, or even limit their opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. Making public transportation more affordable for students would ease financial pressure and promote equal access to education.

The vision is a Philippines with safe, reliable, and affordable transportation for students, empowering them to pursue educational goals without stress from high costs. We envision student-friendly, inclusive transportation systems contributing to equitable access to education.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this petition is to recommend for discounted or subsidized Transportation fares for students. By lowering the cost of public transportation, we aim to:

1. Reduce the financial burden on students and their familiar.
2. Encourage consistent school attendance by making travel more accessible.
3. Remote fairness and inclusivity by supporting students from diverse canonic backgrounds.
4. Empower the youth by ensuring they can focus on their education rather than worrying about daily travel expenses.

DESCRIPTION:

This project advocates for discounted or subsidized public transportation fares to ease the financial burden on students and their families, promote regular school attendance, and ensure equal access to education. To gather support, the petition will be launched on Change.org, while a Google Site will provide detailed project information and resources. A Facebook page will also be created to spread awareness, share updates, and engage with the community, ensuring the campaign reaches a wider audience and amplifies the voices of students calling for fairer transportation costs.

SUPPORT:

To successfully implement this project, minimal funding will be allocated for campaign promotion and materials. Since the petition will be hosted on free platforms like Change.org, Google Sites, and a Facebook page, no cost will be required for online presence. However, an estimated budget of ₱500–₱1,000 will be set aside for creating printed posters, flyers, and tarpaulins to promote the campaign within schools and communities. Additionally, a small amount may be used for internet load or data packages to manage and update the online platforms consistently. This budget ensures that both online and offline efforts are sustained, maximizing visibility and encouraging more people to support the advocacy for cheaper student transportation fares.
