High Rents and unaffordable cars have become extremely big problem for students nationwide in college making it hard for them to have the opportunity to focus on school full time and keep up with costs for modern safe cars. On top of that Keeping up with rent in high cost states like CA it has been deemed an impossibility for students to be able to afford rent and the ability to see those they love which helps inspire them everyday. Friends this is an American Tragedy. This is not the Dream.

We are proposing a partnership between Tesla and San Diego / Orange County Local Government that improves the transportation services for the students here in California where we believe education is number one. We believe vision starts with taking the first and simplest step, then improving it overtime. This system proposed below could eventually be used in other states. 

We are proposing a system where students enrolled in 4-6 units who are 25-33 years of age are able to rent teslas for the semester for a much more affordable price. For affordability purposes we will assume typical rates are $40 a day. The higher the academic load the more affordable the car. Suggestion would be 15%-50% less a day based on academic load making cars up to $20 a day. The cars would be rented for longer periods of time month minimum and maximum to keep traffic low on campuses. There would be a separate parking lot / area for teslas to not increase traffic currently. The renter emblem would be mandatory on these cars. 

The program would be partially subsidized by the government. For Tesla, they would create a non profit partner company where a certain number of cars could be donated to each school. This could be a very exciting and wonderful solution to motivate students to continue their studies and act responsibly. A facility would be created on the Community College Campus (to start, then universities) where students sign up / register for the program and have the opportunity to obtain the car within a short period of time an hour or less. This program would be run by non profit sector of Tesla, creating jobs for more individuals on campus and exposure and benefits to Tesla Products and services for Tesla Employees. 

Proposal is to start on San Diego and Orange County Community colleges; Saddleback and Palomar College. 

If students are able to travel they can solve many more problems, and help more people including themselves. 

To create a more responsible and positive community culture on campus around shared community assets the idea could be the creation of an essential 2-4 hour training for students showing students how to be responsible For their car. This program could have opportunities to meet once every couple weeks or month, and with enough attendance one could be eligible to purchase a Tesla car for a great price upon graduation with an AA or BA. The program would be Involving parents in a partnership program. It is a great way the company can bring families together and celebrate community with cars in a New kind, of American Way. 

Young people need to advocate for their unalienable rights; cars are a great avenue to allow for us to be positively collaborating and co creating. Take your responsibility into your own hands,  and sign the petition!

Create a world of sustainability and independence for the newer generations and make America great again, so we can be leaders for the rest of the world and help make it a better place.
