Watching America Stand Behind This Mission Has Been Overwhelming

This photo was taken Saturday morning when my husband and I headed out for one of our training rides with just over 700 signatures behind this effort.

Tonight, just two days later, we crossed 6,679 supporters.

As a wife, watching this kind of support come in has honestly been overwhelming in the best way.

What started from our own family’s experience — after watching my husband face cancer and knowing how different that journey could have looked with earlier detection — has clearly touched people far beyond our own story.

To see thousands of people across this country stand behind the belief that veterans deserve better opportunities for early cancer detection means more than I can fully put into words.

It reminds me that this is bigger than one family, one diagnosis, or one veteran.

Tomorrow, I will carry that support with me into a congressional meeting as we continue pushing for stronger recognition of military service, toxic exposure history, and earlier access to life-saving cancer screening.
