Coach Diaz is a wonderful and amazing coach who has positively impacted the students at IDEA Hidden Meadow with his dedication and passion for sports and education. His unique ability to connect with students on a personal level and inspire them to strive for excellence both on and off the field is unmatched. Countless parents, students, and faculty members can attest to the profound difference he has made in the community.

Coach Diaz was placed on leave due to an incident in where several staff members had to restrain a scholar. According to witnesses, Diaz was NOWHERE NEAR the scholar as it was occurring. So the question that remains is why was he the one placed on leave then? How does that make any sense? How is that an ethical action? IT IS NOT! 

Since his leave, his wife has had to get a second job to work nights to supplement their income so they can afford to stay afloat. Coach Diaz has not heard from IDEA Headquarters since he was placed on leave almost three weeks ago, which is unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the student was able to return even though he assaulted another teacher the next day. This student has gotten into multiple altercations involving staff and students for the past three years. And now, our coach is having to be punished even though he was doing his job by protecting our students. This is unfair and unjust. 

The absence of Coach Diaz has been deeply felt by the students, who miss his encouraging presence and mentorship. He fostered an environment where every student athlete could thrive, learn, and grow. Putting him on leave from his position was a significant loss to our school community, and it is crucial that we address this issue for the betterment of our students’ education and wellbeing.

At IDEA Hidden Meadow, the emphasis has always been on nurturing a culture of academic excellence and personal development. We believe that having Coach Diaz reinstated is integral to maintaining these values. Bringing him back will not only uplift the spirits of the students but will also reaffirm our commitment to providing them with the best possible educational experience.

We are calling on the school administration and IDEA Regional Headquarters to bring back Coach Diaz. If regional really cares about its students, then they will do what they can to protect them just like coach diaz has done.
