As someone deeply concerned with the fairness and integrity of our electoral process, I personally find the presence of illegal voters in our elections a profound violation of what our country stands for. The Constitution clearly states that voting is a right reserved for citizens, not illegals. Yet, our current administration seems to turn a blind eye, and even encourages this malpractice, potentially skewing election results with millions of illegal votes. The worst part? Our own elected lawmakers, 198 Democrats, voted against the Secure America’s Future Elections (SAVE) Act – a piece of legislation intended to specifically combat this issue.

In a study conducted by the Pew Research Center, estimates indicate that there are 10.5 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States as of 2017. There are more coming in every day. However, no country in the world allows these individuals to participate in their electoral process. Why should the United States become the first? This is not just about the integrity of our elections, but about upholding the rights of every American citizen.

The SAVE Act is crucial for our democracy. It aims to enhance voting system security, improve the voter registration process, modernize voting equipment, and ensure the accessibility of voting, verification, and auditing processes. These should not be partisan issues, but matters that unite every American who believes in the sacred principles of democracy.

So, I humbly ask everyone to join me and let our politicians know that we want to SAVE our country and democratic ideals. The voices and votes of American citizens must not be diluted or discounted.
