I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who signed and shared my petition advocating for the passage of "NJ Compassion for Community Cats" law. The law would create the first ever statewide fund for TNR of community cats and put protections in place. The petition now has over 1k signatures! Incredible. I'm truly in awe. I will be submitting it to both the state house and NJ State Senate Shirley K. Turner, co-sponsor of the bill. But the work is not over! We must continue to call and write to our state representatives. Without continued pressure, the bill will die again in committee like it did last year and the year before. I urge you to continue fighting. If you don't know your rep, you can look them up here: https://www.njlcv.org/find

Tell them you want NJ to pass the Compassion for Community Cats law to protect our cats and reduce the population of free roaming cats in your community. Spay/neuter is the most humane way to do this.
