Advocate for Boscov's to Replace the Former Sears at Triangle Town Center

The Issue

As an advocate for retail jobs across the United States, I am personally invested in seeing thriving businesses expand into new territories. One such opportunity lies in Raleigh, North Carolina, where a former Sears store at Triangle Town Center stands vacant. I propose that Boscov's, one of the largest family-owned department stores in America with a rich history dating back to 1911, should take over this space.

Boscov's is known for its wide range of products and commitment to community service. This expansion would not only fill a retail gap left by Sears but also create numerous job opportunities for local residents. According to data from the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (2019), retail trade provides employment to millions of people nationwide and contributes significantly to our economy.

Moreover, Boscov's has shown resilience amidst challenging times for brick-and-mortar stores and continues its growth trajectory with 49 stores across seven states as of 2020 (source: Boscov’s Inc.). However, their presence is yet unmarked in North Carolina.

By signing this petition, we can show our support for bringing Boscov's into Raleigh’s Triangle Town Center. Let us work together towards creating more job opportunities and revitalizing our nation's economy while enjoying the diverse shopping experience that Boscov's offers.
