Stop the East Boston Substation and High Voltage Lines
The Issue
Eversource (formerly NSTAR Electric) is proposing to install a substation in the old MBTA lot, near Eagle Square, East Boston, MA. This would include two 115kv transmission lines down the center of Condor St and East Eagle St. There are other, less risky, ways this power could be delivered to East Boston.
More than 6,000 people have signed our petition, which has been delivered to our elected officials. The online version here at Change.org is part of this effort.
