Thank you to everyone who attended the November 4th meeting of the Urban Design/Project Review Subcommittee of the North Park Planning Group. The project was once again discussed, and we appreciate the continued engagement and support.
It’s important to note that this subcommittee serves in an advisory capacity only—it can make recommendations to the City but does not have decision-making authority.
During the meeting, further discussion took place regarding the property in question. The applicant raised concerns about the steep grade of the lot, noting that the maximum allowable grade for a traditional park is less than 10%. However, there was interest in exploring whether different regulations might apply to a trail or open space park, which could potentially accommodate steeper terrain.
After a thorough discussion, the committee chose to table any recommendation to the City until their next meeting in January. In the meantime, the applicant will be addressing feedback received from the City Planning Group, which may help clarify key issues and inform the committee’s decision-making process in the new year.
Thanks again to all who participated in the meeting and to everyone who has supported the project thus far!
