Last week's Budget was a missed opportunity - could you ask your MP to act on brain cancer?

Click here to ask your MP to help end the brain cancer postcode lottery. It takes just a minute, and your message could help build the pressure needed to secure vital NHS funding.

The Chancellor's Budget has now passed without any funding being announced for the freezers and infrastructure needed to end this postcode lottery. While deeply disappointing, I'm determined this will not be the end of the conversation.

Too many brain cancer patients are missing out on potentially life-extending treatments and clinical trials simply because their hospitals don't have the facilities to freeze and preserve tumour tissue. A relatively small investment of up to £1 million could help address this postcode lottery across the NHS.

I know many of you have already written to your MPs, so why am I asking you to do so again?

Because we cannot afford to let the Government's failure to act in the Budget take the momentum out of our campaign. Recent developments show there is growing awareness of the urgent need to improve brain cancer care, and we need to make sure that tissue freezing is part of that conversation.

The Government has already identified gaps in freezer capacity, but we still don't have a commitment to fund the solution. Every message to an MP helps keep this issue on the political agenda, raises the profile of our campaign and increases the pressure on Ministers to act. The Budget may have been a missed opportunity, but funding can still be secured, and we need MPs to keep pushing for it.

I'm so grateful to everyone who has signed my petition and supported me so far. I know I've asked for your help before, and I never take that support for granted.

Please click here to ask your MP to raise this again in Parliament – it only takes a minute, and there's a suggested message you can read and personalise before sending.

Thank you, as always, for standing with me and helping give other families the opportunities Owain should have had.

With love and thanks,

Ellie
