For the past three weeks, residents of 14th Cross, Pragathi Layout, Doddanekkundi, Bangalore-37 have been grappling with a dire situation: the water supplied by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has been severely contaminated. This water, vital for our daily needs, is unfit for drinking or cooking. We are compelled to rely on costly water tankers, straining our budgets and making basic living unsustainable.

Despite our repeated complaints, the problem persists, causing immense distress among residents who have no alternative water source. Our complaints have not yielded any actionable response, and the source of this contamination continues to remain unidentified.

The health implications of consuming contaminated water cannot be overstated. Unsafe drinking water is a vector for numerous diseases, threatening public health and safety. Our community is in urgent need of intervention to restore clean and safe drinking water.
