A scheme that began in 2010 with the intent to provide opportunities for students like me from Jammu and Kashmir to pursue higher education across India is facing an unforeseen delay. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is waiting for the central government's approval to proceed, leaving around 20,000 students, including myself, in limbo.
This delay in approval does more than just postpone our educational aspirations; it stalls our future and dreams. With registration unable to start, we are left uncertain of our next steps, impacting not just our academic plans but our mental and emotional well-being. The scheme has been a beacon of hope for us, offering the possibility of a brighter future that seemed far beyond reach.
