Address cheating and harassment in Planetside 2
The Issue
As you can see on the screenshot player name Day22ofCheatingWithoutanyHWIDBan and he did this for 23 days strait! endless cases of these.
For years, our vibrant community and Outfit named [CBMC] Cease Blocking My Colossus of over 500+ monthly active players from the game Planetside 2 has been under siege. We are victims of targeted online harassment, where cheating has become the primary weapon used against us and the game itself. Despite countless reports and cries for help, the developers and moderators of Planetside 2 have turned a blind eye, blatantly ignoring the very rules of conduct they promise to uphold. This negligence undermines not only the integrity of the game but also the trust between the creators and their loyal player base.
On the 24th of October, 2026, a glaring example of this disregard was evident when a community manager remained inactive on the official Discord channel, ignoring reports and allowing the chaos to continue for 13 hours+ that day alone of cheater harassing us in the game We, the players, feel abandoned by those who should be protecting and preserving the quality and enjoyment of the game we love. It's our place to escape, form friendships, and compete fairly—yet it's being overshadowed by the toxic actions of a few, unchecked by those in power.
The emotional toll of this harassment is not trivial. Players devoted to fostering positive community engagement are targeted, myself included, simply for leading our community in a resilient fight against this rampant disruption. This isn't just about virtual battles; it's about real people facing unfair experiences due to the inaction of those who have the means to enforce fairness and justice.
We implore the developers and moderators to take decisive action. Implement more robust anti-cheat measures, actively monitor and respond to harassment claims, and increase transparency with timely updates on steps taken to mitigate these issues. Recognizing and confronting the harassment in Planetside 2 is essential not only for the community's wellbeing but also for the game's future viability.
Let's save Planetside 2 for current and future players. By signing this petition, you join our demand for accountability, fairness, and, ultimately, a gaming environment free from harassment. Stand with us to ensure that Planetside 2 remains a space of fair play and mutual respect. Please sign the petition and help us bring about the change our community desperately needs.
