Growing up in Katy, I had a big fascination with space and our place in it. But for the past years, they only repeated stuff we learned from 2nd grade, so science classes were boring. Not only that, every year we learn less about space, with the exception of 3rd grade. For example, we have learned in 5th grade that the Earth goes around The Sun and the Earth spins, like we didn’t know that already.

So here is what I want to happen from this petition: 

1. Add more space sciences to the curriculum
2. Add more Earth sciences to the curriculum
3. Have students have a deeper understanding of why that is.

I think this is important because Astronomy and Earth sciences can branch out to different fields of science. This is also important because students like me will lose interest if fed the same material.  For example I didn’t like biology before, but now I like it from Astronomy as speculative Biology and Speculative Evolution (also Project Hail Mary) .Me myself started to hate Earth sciences in school, but I soon became to love it when I learned about different things in that field along with examples of it on other worlds.

In conclusion, You should sign this petition because Students will lose interest when fed the same material, These fields can led to others, and students will have a better grasp of the concept.
