We kindly request that Central Kurdish (Sorani) and Northern Kurdish (Kurmanji) be added as language courses on Duolingo. Kurdish is spoken by millions of people in regions like Kurdistan, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria and the diaspora. It is a vital part of Kurdish culture, history, and identity.  

 

By adding Kurdish to Duolingo, you will:  

- Empower Kurdish speakers to preserve and share their language.  

- Provide millions of people with the opportunity to learn this beautiful and historically rich language.  

- Promote cultural understanding and inclusivity in language education.
