Dear EU Foreign Ministers,

Last week, EU Parliament members overwhelmingly voted on a resolution to put the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the EU's terror list.

IRGC is a heightened international threat to universal values of human dignity, freedom, equality and solidarity, enjoyment of human rights, and fundamental freedoms on which the Union is founded.

Therefore, I and the co-signers demand you to please respect democracy, listen to the MEPs and the 19,000 people who demonstrated in front of the EU Parliament in Strasbourg on Monday Jan. 16th, and label the IRGC as a terrorist group.

We also urge you to actively pursue the following actions with utmost urgency:

take adequate measures to freeze all IRGC's direct and indirect funds, financial operations, and assets within the EU;
take adequate measures to identify and stop the IRGC's lobbying and propaganda modus operandi within the EU.

Update: At the meeting on Monday, Jan. 23rd, 2023, the Foreign Affair Council (FAC) did not list IRGC as a terrorist group. Joseph Borrell said that we need a court ruling before such designation can be done [1]. That means that we will focus on getting this court ruling and we will keep this campaign going until IRGC is on the EU terror list, where it belongs. So please keep signing and spreading the word.
