Thank you so much to all of you for your support. Over 43 days, we have accrued 175 total signatures in support of my petition to expand infertility coverage at Wayne State University. Approximately 73% of these signatures are from the Detroit-area.

In honor of Mother's Day this weekend, I reached out to the Wayne State University Chief HR representative, the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Academic Personnel, and the Vice President for Research. In addition to the 175 signatures with this petition, I sent them a 2-page executive summary providing background on infertility and IVF, IVF coverage in Michigan, infertility coverage at Wayne State, IVF coverage at similar institutions, costs for the employer, and how IVF coverage benefits employers.

Lastly, I sent anonymous personal statements from several employees at Wayne State describing what they experienced with infertility and what additional employer coverage would mean to them.
