Hello everyone,

Recently, I discussed our petition for a fact-check button on LinkedIn with a friend who expressed concerns about it potentially infringing on people's right to free speech. To gain a broader perspective on this, I conducted a poll on LinkedIn. Interestingly, 90% of respondents did not see it as an infringement on free speech at all.

Moreover, Ivano M. shared an insightful comment on the post, which I'd like to share with all of you:

"Free speech ensures you aren't prosecuted for your opinions, but you are accountable for the consequences of your words. While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, no one can have their own facts. If you spread misinformation, make threats, or violate the laws of your jurisdiction or the platform's rules, you can be flagged, banned, or even prosecuted. This shouldn't be misconstrued as violating 'free speech rights' or censorship. Unfortunately, many resort to this excuse when held accountable for their statements."

Well said!
