I recently had an insightful conversation with Nicky O. on LinkedIn regarding the crucial question: Who should be responsible for this fact-checking? It became clear that only a reputable third-party, transparent and 100% open to scrutiny, would be acceptable. Relying solely on LinkedIn for this task might compromise the legitimacy we're striving for.
As the ancient Roman poet Juvenal once said, "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" - "Who watches the watchmen?" It underscores the importance of impartial oversight, especially when it concerns the veracity of content we consume.
