Add a traffic light at 5th and Richland to keep our families safe!

The Issue

Last week, on September 20th we witnessed the way some drive on this street, first hand. As we watched two vehicles race across the Mansfield bridge into Dravosburg PA, I had a gut wrenching feeling that it was going to end badly but never could've imagined what we saw as we came to the end of the bridge.

A man traveling at an excess of 100mph slammed into a school van carrying 4 children (and their van driver) from a local catholic high school. The vehicle that hit the van was on fire and kids on the side of the road. One child lost  her life in this horrific accident but many lives changed forever.

THIS is not the first incident where someone lost their life on this stretch of Richland Avenue, with 4 lanes and a speed limit of 40 (which is never followed) tell me why we need to even write this paragraph?  Why is it that the public figures in the area can not push for this?

If not for the firefighters, police officer,  bus driver and how many others who senslessly lost their lives on this street then why not for this beautiful young lady that had a lifetime ahead of her??
