Earlier this week, Colorado senate candidates Cory Gardner and John Hickenlooper participated in their fourth and final debate. Never did they address Elijah’s story. A constituent of theirs was killed while walking home, part of a national epidemic of police violence, and neither candidate felt compelled to mention him.

With the election just weeks away, our elected officials need to know that we are waiting to hear what they are going to do to get justice for Elijah. So we hired a local Denver artist and commissioned this mobile billboard to drive around the city, encouraging people to call for justice. 

It would be easy for Elijah’s story to get lost in the election news cycle. We can’t let that happen. Now more than ever, we need to show Colorado lawmakers that we want to see his killers held accountable.
