We need action from Colorado senate candidates

On October 13th, the two candidates in the race for Colorado’s empty senate seat will participate in a debate. It’s one of several debates between Republican incumbent Cory Gardner and Democrat John Hickenlooper, but the only debate to be televised statewide.

This is a crucial opportunity to remind Colorado lawmakers and candidates of Elijah’s ongoing case. We want the moderators to ask Gardner and Hickenlooper how they plan to prevent more deaths like Elijah’s.

Whoever is elected to be senator for Colorado will have influence over policing policies. All Colorado lawmakers need to hear our demands that the violence stop, and justice for Elijah be served.
