This petition was created to let the leaders in our community know how the use of fireworks has become extremely disruptive for many residents. The incessant use of fireworks whithin the city of Rochester and surrounding suburbs is out of control. The fireworks go off nightly and last until the wee hours of the morning. They are even used in some neighborhoods during the day. Something must be done to permanently end this problem so that residents can go back to enjoying their homes and neighborhoods in peace. My hope is that this petition will be a catalyst for change. Meaningful dialogue needs to take place and action steps need to be developed by our community leaders to stop this problem. Many residents are fed up and calling 911 is not the solution.
