Bring Back Sierra On-Line!
Bring Back Sierra On-Line!
The Issue
February 22nd, 2019 marks 20 years since "Chainsaw Monday" where Major Layoffs occurred at Yosemite Entertainment, the former Headquarters of Sierra On-Line in Oakhurst, CA and two thirds of Sierra's employees lost their jobs! Following further layoffs in 2004 by Vivendi Games in Bellevue, WA, Sierra was dissolved as a company.
Activision currently own the Rights and Intellectual Properties of Sierra, and we, the longtime fans of Sierra's iconic franchises such as King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Quest For Glory, Leisure Suit Larry and Phantasmagoria are dissatisfied with their management of Sierra's Rights / IP(s) in recent years since rebooting Sierra as a label in 2014... We would like to see Activision take the assets they own of Sierra, and form 'Sierra On-Line' as a company once again, forging their own path once again.
