Make oral healthcare a priority in Ghana. Ghanaian children’s smiles matter!
The Issue
Make oral healthcare a priority in Ghana!
If you agree that Ghanaian children must grow up confidently with great smiles, and be ready to contribute to national development, add your name to this petition to get government to act on oral health.
1. Ghanaian Children’s Smiles matter!
Ghanaian children need their teeth to eat properly, talk, smile and feel good about themselves. Poor oral health destroys more than just their smiles - it affects their entire well-being!
2. Why NOW? What is our Ghanaian challenge?
Because there is no time like the present. We must bring change now for a better Ghana.
In the past 12 months, over 65% of Ghanaian children suffered from tooth decay or bad breath. On average, 29% of children have missed school due to poor oral health in the last year. The first ever global audit of the impact of oral care on the development and performance of children, Smile, which included children in Ghana, discovered that the quality of a child’s oral care has repercussions beyond just health; it limits a Ghanaian children’s potential.
3. Why should YOU care?
Because poor oral health affects people closest to you, including children you care about!
4. How can WE get REAL ACTION on mouth health?
Government must act swiftly, in the interest of every Ghanaian child and adult, to make Ghana a nation of beautiful smiles. This petition is for Government to add it's voice to Pepsodent's mission to get Ghanaian families to brush everyday- day and night.
5. Let’s go!
If you agree that Ghanaian children must grow up confident with great smiles that will help push their drive for nation success, add your name to this petition.
Join Unilever Ghana’s toothpaste brand, Pepsodent, to spread the word for oral care as we mark World Oral Health Day 2019 with the children of Ghana.
Our goal is to get 5,000 signatures. These signatures will be added to that of over 4000 Ghanaian children and submitted to the relevant authorities.
Help us make a difference!
